It all started with one passion.

In 2018, Diane Kim opened 9 Delicacies in a quiet corner of a strip mall in Everett, WA. The space was modest and easy to overlook, but it felt like the right fit. With 5-year-old twins at home, Diane wanted to stay close to them while pursuing her passion: cooking.

She built a larger kitchen and kept the dining area intentionally small—just three tables—so she could focus on catering, which was her original plan.

Drawing from her fine dining background and deep love for Korean flavors, Diane poured her heart into every dish. Word quickly spread, and loyal customers began seeking out her hidden gem. One dish stood out above the rest: her Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich.

When life doesn’t go as planned,

open another door.

Just as Diane’s restaurant was gaining momentum,

the pandemic hit—and catering came to a halt.

But Diane adapted. Seeing how much people loved her Korean-inspired chicken sandwiches, she shifted her focus from events to everyday diners. What began as

a challenge soon became an opportunity.

After the pandemic, Sweet Radish was born—her way

of sharing elevated, handcrafted chicken dishes infused with the Korean flavors people already loved, so more could enjoy them every day.
